Nerd Word No. 3 

baking blind  (noun)

a preparation of baking a crust or shell without filling.  

This term is often used when baking pies or tarts filled with a cream or pudding because the filling requires less cook time than the crust.  Blind-baking ensures a fully cooked crust which won’t become soggy.

Have a wonderful week, bake a pie, paint your nails, do something crazy, just have a good time!
