COFFEE TALK
Today, we are packing up my car. Tomorrow, at 5:30am, we are leaving for Montreal. My biggest fear is forgetting our passports. My second biggest fear is that my international coverage, which is scheduled to kick in the moment we cross the border, might not actually work and we will find ourselves mapless. All fears, however, are overcome by the constant wondering about what happened to the last year. Tomorrow is our first anniversary. I just do not know how this could be. I know that I have said that so many times over the past month, but it feels no realer now than it did three weeks ago. One year...
I just discovered these gorgeous star maps this week and I am dying to get one as a late anniversary present for us.
I adore this dress. Oh, and this one too. Plaid is the best.
Mr. Pedantic and I went shopping a couple of weekends ago and I decided that I need a leather jacket in my wardrobe. Why is it so hard to find a flattering one?
I still have not made this salad and I am mad at myself for it, but I just know the mister will make faces if I serve him a bowl of kale. Come over and eat it with me?
My sister surprised me with this eyeshadow set after reading about how much I loved it in last week's post. I cried. She really is the best, you guys. I told myself I would save it for special occasions, but ever since I received it every day has felt like a special occasion. I cannot resist the glitter. I have been wearing it along with the Urban Decay Primer Potion and it lasts all day without any weird creasing and it actually stays on my eyes. I have always hated the loose glitter shadows because they end up all over my face, but the liquid is amazing and so dazzling! It is such a great pick for the holidays.
Speaking of which, I sat down this week and compiled a list of the recipes I plan to make and share during the holiday season and I am so excited. I am trying to fight the urge to think about Christmas because I am not ready to go there yet, but at the same time I cannot wait. Do you have this problem? I blame blogging because I am already working on my first Christmas post. It makes keeping your head in the current season a bit of a challenge, but I would never trade it.
Did you all catch this pie? It is the most delicious of weekend projects.
I saw these gorgeous trousers when I was out with my sister earlier this week and they are at the top of my "have to have" list. I love the idea of pairing them with a soft, cream sweater for a holiday party. When I am hosting, I hate wearing dresses because I feel somewhat constricted, but these could totally pass off as semi-formal wear. I am in love.
Did you catch this amazing sale? I am stocking up! Have I mentioned how much I love stationery?
How are your weekend plans shaping up? It finally started feeling like fall again and I have been floating! Bring on the cozy socks!
Happy, happy weekend!
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie
