COFFEE TALK
Over the past three weeks I have made roughly six batches of homemade chex mix. I'm obsessed. There's no end in sight and I'm perfectly content constantly having a bowl within reach. I do not know why I had never made it before because it is the easiest thing ever. Word to the wise, always double the Worcestershire.
Socks always make their way onto my Christmas list, it's my thing. I am so smitten with these reindeer socks that Jessica shared in her gift guide earlier this week. Someone please give Mr. Pedantic a hint for me, okay?
I picked up the cranberry apple herbal tea from Trader Joe's this week and we love it! It is such a mild, faintly-Christmasy blend that also happens to taste exactly like Quaker's apple cinnamon instant oats. It gets my nostalgic heart.
I really want to do an advent calendar for us this year, and I want to make it myself. There are so many amazing ideas on Pinterest, but this one has caught my eye. While I do not plan on buying and cutting through copper pipe, I am thinking that I can figure out some sort of ribbon/washi tape situation. I really have to get on the ball though because December 1st is like, five minutes away. I don't know... maybe I'll just buy Mr. Pedantic the Lego Star Wars version and call it a day.
Picking out wrapping paper is always a really big deal for me. For this year, I think I have finally decided on this paper, which I plan to mix with some kind of gold/white polka-dot paper that I'll pick up at Target. I LOVE wrapping Christmas gifts. I used to (read: still do) dream about starting a seasonal company where I could just do gift wrapping for all the people who hate it.
Mr. Pedantic and I are driving to D.C. for the weekend to see our preferred hockey teams face it off and we are more than a little excited. It was my early graduation present to him - only 5 more weeks!!
Do you have your turkey yet? I have so many pies to bake but I could not be happier. This one is always my go-to.
Happy, happy weekend!
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie
