COFFEE TALK

It has been quite a week.  December is already going by so fast and I wish I could somehow pause life and spend a couple of days cozied up on the sofa with Mr. Pedantic ogling our tree.

I allowed myself to be talked into buying a very shiny pair of converse high tops at 12:30am on Black Friday and, while that might be the general criteria for disaster, I have been wearing them nonstop.  They really are so comfortable.  I know, everyone else on the planet already knew that and I am so behind the game but, for me, this is still a recent discovery.  And, despite them being gold metallic, I do not find them to be overly loud.  I have loved being able to add a little extra sparkle to my standard jeans and black sweater combo.  I bought a child's size because I have some of the smallest feet ever, but the pair I've linked above is almost identical.

Stop whatever you are doing right now because *drumroll* our December cookie horoscopes are here!

I have been finding new favorites every time I go to Trader Joe's lately.  I picked up a wedge of their Baked Lemon Ricotta last weekend and Mr. Pedantic tore through that thing in about fifteen minutes flat.  It was basically spreadable cheesecake.  Lemon lovers will go crazy over this stuff - my husband is proof.  I lost my mind a bit when I saw these Peppermint Flavored Hold the Cone Mini Ice Cream Cones.  They are basically little tiny Drumsticks with peppermint ice cream.  They are dangerous.  Lastly, these Hot Cocoa O's were surprisingly good.  I had very low expectations but bought them anyways because, as you know, I am a sucker for anything remotely festive.  I love them.  The chocolate flavor is actually really good.

This dutch oven is the prettiest piece of kitchenware I ever did see and I think I'm in love.

As the self-proclaimed croissant queen, I really feel like I need this ornament.  I have a bit of a problem when it comes to ornaments, it runs in my family.  You should see my mother's tree or, rather, her glowing triangle of ornaments that we suspect to be a tree.  It's not really visible anymore.

I am in love with these dishes.  I have been eyeing them all week and yesterday they went on sale!!  Anthro always gets me with their whimsy charm.

I think I just have one gift left to purchase and then I will be officially done with Christmas shopping.  That's a very good feeling.  I cannot wait to start wrapping.  If you aren't quite finished with your shopping, check out my gift guide for glitter lovers.

These cinnamon sugar cheese buns have been on my mind for the past week and I think they may be our Christmas morning breakfast.

Wishing you a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

Sincerely,

Pedantic Foodie
