COFFEE TALK

It’s Friday!!

I want to savor every moment of the next two days - my last chance to breathe before the pie-making, casserole-baking, and Black Friday ad perusing begins. I love Thanksgiving, but it does require a bit of strategy. With our church’s annual Thanksgiving Eve celebration and two separate family Thanksgiving meals to cook for, I am usually beat come Thursday morning - but I would not have it any other way.

What are you making this year? Are you hosting or attending?

The Saturday following Thanksgiving is always our day to deck out the house for Christmas. We watch our first Christmas flick of the year, order Chinese take-out, and I “supervise” while Mr. Pedantic assembles our tree. It is one of my favorite days of the entire year. Thanksgiving weekend is really just the best. This year, we have a much larger space to decorate which means…I need a second tree. Well, at least I want a second tree. Preferably a white sparkly one. This “Glitzy Glam Tree” is my inspiration.

I am making this soup tomorrow. It never gets old.

Have you all heard of Color Street nails? One of my dearest friends introduced me and I am loving the fact that I can finally keep nail polish on my fingers for more than three hours.

I have been working on all kinds of Christmas recipes for you all the past couple weeks and I am beyond excited to share them!

This salad has returned to our weekly meal rotation and it never gets old.

Have you visited your local World Market store to play the Golden Bell Scavenger Hunt, yet? It really is so much fun and they have so many gorgeous Christmas decorations right now. I picked up this sparkly mistletoe the other day and I am obsessed with it.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Pedantic Foodie
