COFFEE TALK

This past week, I returned to work and tried to figure out the keys to being productive with a puppy in the house.  The hardest part is definitely the guilt.  I feel so guilty when I have to split my attention between work and puppy care, and Sabine does her best to intensify my pain with the sweetest, most pitiful cries.  All in all though, I would say that we are finding rhythm and routine far faster than I had expected, and I love having my little shadow around.

I am so in love with this print right now.

How was your Valentine's Day?  I was thoroughly spoiled by my Valentine.  Mr. Pedantic was very much under the weather on Wednesday evening, so we had to forego my heart-shaped pizza plans and save all of our celebrations for tonight.  He's got a new suit and I made dinner reservations at our favorite restaurant here in town.  I cannot wait.

I NEED this pudding in my life.  I love making pudding as a weeknight dessert.  It is so quick and easy, but so indulgent.

I was really determined to read more books this year.  In my teens, I went through books like water, but my reading repertoire has slowly dwindled since college and I rarely get the opportunity to pick up a book for pleasure reading these days.  And, even if I do, when I finally get that block of time to just...sit, I always fall asleep.  Womp.  Womp.  Welcome to adulthood, I suppose.  So, rather than giving up on my mission, I am employing audio books.  Sure, they are not quite the same, but they are far better than nothing at all.  I love listening to them in the car, while I edit pictures, and when I clean the house.  Our library even has an app with hundreds of free audio books that you can rent.  I have heard that a lot of libraries are using this now so you should definitely see if it is available in your area!

How is your weekend shaping up?  I really hope that it includes more chocolate than laundry.

xoxo

Sincerely,
