Hi there.  How are you?  Dangerously close to heat stroke?  Same. 

Yesterday, I welcomed a bathing suit into my closet for the first time in roughly four years.  I remember enjoying swimming pools at one point in my life, and I have to survive this Virginia summer somehow so we will see how this goes.  I am already dreading the splashing eight-year-olds.  Please, no. 

These fries are making their way back into our weekly rotation.  Gosh, I love them. 

Garden & Gun never fails to inspire.  This butter bean salad looks so incredible.  It is everything I look for in a summer dinner. 

Cake pants.  Let it happen.   

Mr. Pedantic and I have a staycation on the books next weekend and I CAN. NOT. WAIT..  We are going to play tourists and hit up some of our favorite spots around town and visit a few new ones. Bring on the lazy mornings, brunch dates, and alllll the fried chicken.

I cannot stop thinking about this fruit salad.  Satisfying all my summer cravings right here.  Cannot wait to get this on next week's menu!  

Tracy is inspiring me to step away from my desk and do things this summer.
