COFFEE TALK
I am basking in the gift of electricity by pouring myself a second cup of tea and reviewing paint swatches.
We were supposed to close on our house today. Then a hurricane decided to come, then decided not to come, and now the entire city seems to be hibernating for what has amounted to little more than a windy day. So here we are. Still no house, but an empty weekend at home with Mr. Pedantic is never something to complain about.
My feelings on ninety-five percent of these vocabulary additions can be summed up in a favorite movie quote. "You know what this is, you know what we're seeing here? We're seeing the end of Western civilization as we know it." I feel a little nauseous. I also feel like throwing my vintage dictionary at the next person who dares use the word, "bougie." Sorry, I have not had my coffee yet…
I rediscovered my love for Sabrina this past week and I have already watched it twice - once while working and once with Mr. Pedantic. It is such a cozy movie.
I am bookmarking this post for kitchen organization inspiration (say that three times fast). Our new home does NOT have a pantry and I’m a tiny bit nervous (read: petrified) about the storage situation, so I may be putting a few of these links to good use.
I finally picked up a few new pairs of Lucky jeans earlier this week and I am already in love. They are so comfortable, but still very sturdy — meaning they actually feel like denim rather than denim-colored cotton. This isn’t exactly the style I got, but it is very, very similar. Both pairs I brought home were “Ava’s” and I think I have found my forever jean.
Such an old recipe, but still such a favorite. I make it every single year.
Absolutely IN LOVE with this cork wall. Definitely on my wish list for my new creative space!
Every time I look at this cauliflower dish my mouth starts watering - and I don’t even like hummus!! I do not know what it is about this dish, but I have to have it in my life.
Happy weekending to you all! Wear sweaters, buy a mum, and cuddle your puppy. There is much to smile about.
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie
