It’s June! It’s Friday! There’s just so much to celebrate!
Summer is such a beautiful, mad, unpredictable drug. It makes us do crazy things like wear bathing suits or contemplate neon hair. (Yes, I’ve fallen into the trap. Suddenly I want pink hair almost as much as I want to live in Paris. It’s ridiculous, but oh so enticing.)
Homemade bubble tea is on my summer bucket list this year. My sister and I went on a boba date recently and now I am determined to learn the tricks of at-home bubble tea. I am planning to use this article as my boba guru. If you have any tips for me please pass them on!
I took my wavy/curly/frizzy hair questions to instagram earlier this week. I am very much over spending half of an hour (or more) on my hair each day, especially now that the warmer weather and humidity has hit and every style dissolves after fifteen minutes outside. I want to work with the natural body of my hair, but neaten it up a bit. You all told me to get myself a bottle of this product and I am going to give it a shot this weekend. I am so excited!
Avocado toast has come back into my life. This is such a good thing.
My mama’s birthday is this weekend and I am thinking a pile of seared scallops and this pie are going to make the menu.
Udon with chicken and garlicky peanut dressing is basically the only thing I want right now.
This is the time of year that I love to make colossal trays of cheese, crackers, fruit, olives, and cured meat. I really wouldn't mind making every dinner a snack dinner if I could. These crackers are my favorite and take the whole platter up a notch. They are SO good!
I hope you have the most wonderful of almost-summer weekends!
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie
P.S. It would be a really good idea to throw some extra pork chops on the grill this weekend. I will be coming to you with the most delicious recipe for them Monday morning!
