Happy, happy Friday! Is it horrible that I am thankful for the fact that the holidays are finally behind us? Do not get me wrong, we had an incredible Christmas season, and a cozy, relaxing New Year’s, but I am beyond delighted to be getting back to a sense of routine. Those few days between Christmas and New Year’s are always odd and I can never quite find my rhythm, but the new year kicks me back into gear. Nothing like a fresh, empty planner to start the year off right!
This Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad sounds like my new favorite Sunday night dinner.
Speaking of salads, it is full-blown salad season and I am planning on making a batch or two of these candied walnuts as an easy add-in.
I am eyeing this gorgeous sign for our dining room.
Avocado toast has come back into my life in a big way and this is my favorite way to make it!
Citrus season is kind of the best thing ever and this lemon rosemary buttermilk cake is such a favorite of ours. It is the perfect breakfast or tea companion.
Dying over these bedazzled tights.
Tell me, what would you like to see more of this year? Sweet or savory? Quick or slow-cooker? I would love to hear from you!!
We have a low-key weekend ahead of us and doughnuts are on the horizon. I could not be more excited. Happy weekend, friends!!
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie
I love that my generation has taken a hold of snacks and made them into not only a socially-acceptable mode of daily nutrition but a hallowed one. If you're not entirely sure of the current snack pseudonyms, see; charcuterie, tapas, tastings, flights…
