We are less than a week away from my favorite day of the year and I could not be more excited. Sure, the list of dishes that I am responsible for contributing to multiple celebrations is making me feel a little nutty, but in the end, it all gets. Stomachs are made happy and feet sore from shopping. It’s a delightful whirlwind that I cherish.
Last weekend, we found out that this tiny person I’ve been toting around for the past few months is a girl(!!!) and were truly amazed by the wonder that is a 3D ultrasound. I had seen the pictures of other babies, but there was something pretty magical about seeing my baby.
At some point during the next few days, I’ll be dragging Mr. Pedantic to see A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood with me. I am so here for it! The trailer alone has already made me cry, so it should be a wonderful and soggy two hours, but I am already so enchanted by this film.
I am not much of a soda drinker, but I had an Indian-spiced Coca-Cola several years ago and it was weirdly wonderful, so I am somewhat intrigued by the new Cinnamon Coke. Have you tried it?
Okay, KitchenAid, I see you and I am sold.
Our family is so large these days that Thanksgiving is always a group effort, but if I were going to attempt it solo, I would 100% be checking out Jess’s guide to a 3-hour Thanksgiving. Brilliant.
I posted my own guide of all my Thanksgiving favorites here, and I’ll be sharing one more recipe with you in the next few days!
Happy, happy weekend, friends!
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie
I love that my generation has taken a hold of snacks and made them into not only a socially-acceptable mode of daily nutrition but a hallowed one. If you're not entirely sure of the current snack pseudonyms, see; charcuterie, tapas, tastings, flights…
