We have been enjoying a taste of spring over here and I have relished every sunny moment, warm breeze, and Cadbury mini egg that it has brought my way.
I did not know that I would reach a point where maternity clothes no longer fit, but as we slide into the 7-week mark even my stretchiest clothes are struggling to cover this bump. It just makes me a little more giddy for little love to arrive. I am beginning to compile my list of make-ahead meals to begin cooking and freezing and I’ll be sure to share my favorites as we go along.
While we are on the topic of baby prep, I really appreciated Jenny’s baby must-haves registry checklist. I “finished” my registry months ago, but there were a few things I noted from her list that I quickly added to my own. For any other expectant mothers out there, it’s a must!
Have you tried the new Golden Ginger drink at Starbucks?! Oh my goodness. I’ll be honest, when I ordered it the first time, I was primarily motivated by the color. It’s the most gorgeous shade of lemon yellow and screams of spring. That said, my obsession is now fueled by far more than aesthetic appeal. It is so refreshing and spicy, and perfect for easing into the spring mood. You best believe I am already in the process of developing an at-home version. More on that soon…
This dreamy soup is likely appearing on our menu for the coming week and I could not be more excited.
With St. Patrick’s Day quickly approaching, my heart is brimming with anticipation for our annual indulgence of Irish Nachos - the unapologetically decadent dinner that is a veritable pot of gold. Take the time to gift yourself some Irish Nachos this year.
Wishing you all the dreamiest of weekends!
Sincerely,
Pedantic Foodie

A tale of recipe conception…
It had been a long day and all I really wanted was some quality couch time with the Bon Appetit test kitchen. Whatever plans I had in mind for dinner were soon diminished by more slothful desires for all things lazy and cozy.
