There is no better way to celebrate Christmas Eve than with a eggnog marshmallow milkshake.
These milkshakes have a lot going for them. They are 3-ingredient wonders that can be whipped up in ten minutes or less and are sure to please the whole family.
Back in this site's early days I shared toasted marshmallow milkshakes because they were one of my very favorite desserts. They still are. I can drink two in one sitting. It's strange how good they really are.
This year, I decided to revamp an old favorite for the holidays and it was a very good idea.
The custard-like eggnog pairs so wonderfully with the charred marshmallows.
Yes, charred marshmallows. We are trying to burn them. It is the only way to capture that wonderful, roasted-over-the-fire taste.
Use the very best vanilla ice cream you can get your hands on for these shakes. Since the ingredients are so few, the quality really counts!
Be sure to have a whole nutmeg within reach for an extra dose of spice. I am a nutmeg fanatic.
This recipe serves four...or two...or one. It all depends on how much restraint you feel like showing.
Toast, blend, pour, and settle in for a cozy movie night with the whole family.
On second thought, Christmas Eve might be too long to wait.
Milkshake Monday. Let's make that a thing.
Sincerely,
